Dear Parents, Please Don't Do This to Your Child ๐
Your child is not your project.
Your child is not your unfulfilled dream.
Your child is not a trophy to display your success.
When you constantly criticize their mistakes, compare them with others, force your interests upon them, or make them feel that love depends on performance, you slowly damage their confidence and emotional security.
A child may not argue back.
A child may not complain.
But their mind speaks through:
โ ๏ธ Anxiety
โ ๏ธ Fear
โ ๏ธ Sleep disturbances
โ ๏ธ Withdrawal from family
โ ๏ธ Low self-esteem
โ ๏ธ Emotional shutdown
Children need guidance, but not pressure.
They need discipline, but not humiliation.
They need encouragement, but not constant criticism.
Before correcting your child, ask yourself:

Have I listened to my child today?
โ
Have I appreciated their efforts?
โ
Have I made them feel safe with me?
โ
Am I supporting their interests or forcing mine?
The goal of parenting is not to create a perfect child.
The goal is to raise a mentally healthy, emotionally secure, confident human being.
Your words become your child's inner voice.
Choose them carefully.
A child who feels loved and accepted will achieve far more than a child who grows up in fear and pressure.

For years, I worked deeply with children, teens, parents, and adults struggling with:
anxiety

When the pandemic hit, Sri Niroushida Psychology Center had to close its doors.
For a moment, I wondered:
โHow will people survive emotionally in isolation?โ
But instead of stopping, I started offering emotional support and counselling services during one of the darkest phases in recent history.
Through my work with Manasa Trust and the Government of Karnataka, I witnessed something heartbreaking:
People were not only fighting COVIDโฆ
they were fighting fear, loneliness, anxiety, trauma, and emotional exhaustion.
That period changed my understanding of mental health forever.
Healing is not only about talking.
It is about emotional connection, lifestyle, support, and inner strength.
Today, my mission is stronger than ever:
To help children, teens, parents, and families heal emotionally and live healthier lives.

A mother recently told me something heartbreaking during a counseling sessionโฆ
โMy children call me a โWeekend Mother.โโ
Not because she didnโt love them.
