Studio Stimulus

We at Studio Stimulus believe a successful retail experience is one that allows its customers to linger and wander. For Kolher’s Sanitary-Ware showroom in Bangalore, we chose to create a space that encouraged shopping and exploring. Working with a wide space, inserts of meandering, contemporary displays which act as understated backdrops were added, letting the company’s wares take center stage. Interventions are featured prominently at the showroom, either as partitions between displays or niches for displaying the wares.

The work on this is closer to carpentry than building construction, focuses on the details and encounters. Reducing to a minimum the elements, fittings, switches, etc. The objects are designed to provide the greatest possible sobriety, resulting in a high degree of enhanced spatial clarity.

A tranquil abode resplendent in a gray and yellow, coordinated with hues of brown. The highlight of this design is the usage of light to create a bright and airy ambiance with pare down furnishings to the essentials resulting in an uncluttered relaxing retreat.
