The School of Business and Management – MBA Programme at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) proudly celebrates another significant research achievement with the publication of an article in SN Computer Science (Scopus Q1).
Authored by Dr Vijaykumar N, Assistant Professor, the article titled “A Study on the Cognitive and Hedonic Factors of Augmented Reality in Influencing Purchasing Intent in Online Shopping in India.” The results show that purchase intent is highly influenced by both hedonic and cognitive factors, with the biggest effect being attributed to hedonic motivation fueled by the AR experience, which is followed by cognitive factors such as perceived value and information utility.

Authored by Dr Ajay Jose, Associate Professor, Dr Sonia Mathew, Associate Professor, and Dr Delma Thaliyan, Associate Professor, the article titled “LGBTO+ Leisure in Conservative Tourism Destinations: Navigating Hidden Spaces, Safety, and Intimacy” explores how LGBTQ+ individuals navigate conservative tourism environments through hidden leisure spaces shaped by discretion, resilience, and community support.
The study contributes to contemporary tourism scholarship by highlighting the lived experiences of marginalised communities and advancing conversations around inclusion, safety, and equitable tourism development.
This achievement reflects SBM’s strong research culture and commitment to advancing interdisciplinary scholarship with tangible societal relevance.
