“We’re incredibly proud of this year’s ultra-competitive class of Financial Advertising. Mastercard, however, has been extraordinary. That is a word that is so often overused its meaning has become watered down, but it is truly applicable, now, in its full meaning for Mastercard as a brand. They have shown a cohesiveness of voice and dedication to quality that has been unparalleled in the Midas Awards, which is why they’ve rightfully taken first place in The Brand Report for the last four years in a row. Extraordinary.”

2018 Winners List - New York Festivals

Take it from one of the greatest advertising minds in the world (I mean, come on, “V for Victory”?!), it’s time to see how 2018’s financial advertising stacked up against each other. The results are in after the Grand and Executive Juries had the difficult task of taking a cold, objective eye to the incredible work entered into the 2018 Midas Awards. We here at New York Festivals congratulate everyone for their dedication to their craft.

The Midas Awards Grand Jury, comprised of international executives from financial and creative marketing disciplines, selected an unprecedented 316 entries as Finalists. With an impressive 12% increase this year, many prominent brands and international agencies recognized the importance of being honored for creative excellence by the Midas Awards.

“Great work demands attention,” said Scott Rose, Executive Director, Midas Awards. “and this year’s class of disruptive, entertaining, bar-raising entries did just that. The Grand Jury was fully engaged and the comments they left were filled with praise and admiration. Attention sought. Attention earned. I applaud these innovative campaigns and look forward to the Executive Jury laying their expert eyes upon them.”

King Midas has something else to celebrate this holiday season: The Grand Jury is now in session! It’s not last call for alcohol, but it is for entries. Please email [email protected] if you’re going to be entering this week.

It’s true, it’s true The Midas Awards are open and accepting entries again!

Unfortunately, we’re not accepting payment in blockchain currencies, but don’t let that stop you from entering work you’ve done IN the cryptocurrency space. Now, if you were really excited about being able to pay for your entry in Bitcoin, let me assure you, it’s still worth laying down centralized currency in order for your work to get the recognition it deserves.

Like last year’s Grand Winner, FEARLESS GIRL, this year’s group of international judges are strong, smart and motivated. Time marches on and the noise we’re all inundated with grows louder in the widespread disruption of the old ways of communication, which is why they want to award gold ingots to the work that is additive and reaches new heights in its idea, creativity and ex*****on.

We're Open! Get your best work in front of the best judges!
