People often give me credit for showcasing Narmada district as one of the best monsoon destinations in Gujarat.

But the truth is, it wasn’t just me.

It was the local villagers who trusted me, welcomed me, and shared places that many people had never seen before. Their guidance helped us discover the true beauty of Narmada during the monsoon.

My role, along with my team, was simply to document those stories and landscapes with honesty and present them to the world.

At that time, you could hardly find such detailed monsoon videos about Narmada on YouTube in Gujarati. So when I later saw the promotional video on Meta posted by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel featuring a few shots from our monsoon documentary, I genuinely felt so, so, so happy.

Sometimes, it’s not about taking credit. It’s about knowing that more people are discovering these beautiful places, local tourism is growing, and the effort has contributed in some way.

Moments like these also make me wonder how much more impact could be created if independent travel creators and tourism authorities worked together to document Gujarat’s hidden monsoon gems in a meaningful and long-term way.

I sincerely hope to document many more monsoon destinations across Gujarat in the coming years and continue contributing, in my own small way, to the state’s tourism and the local economy. If an independent documentary series can create a meaningful tourism impact, imagine what could be achieved through an official collaboration dedicated to showcasing Gujarat during the monsoon. Just as the campaign reached more than 6.5 crore people, I truly believe has the potential to become the next iconic tourism movement for the state.
