Colours of Hope – Standing Together Through Art

Today in Toronto, the Sissman Gallery is curating a powerful exhibition: Colours of Hope.

The showcase brings together rare works by some of Israel’s most celebrated artists from the modern masters Menashe Kadishman and Yaacov Agam, to contemporary voices like Shai Azoulay and Gil Goren.

Each artwork carries a story of resilience, identity, and hope. And beyond the beauty of the art itself, this exhibition carries a purpose: a portion of the proceeds will directly support StandWithUs Canada and the Kamim Foundation.

For Kamim, this means more resources to continue our mission providing healing, long-term support, and a community of strength for survivors and families affected by October 7th.

This is not only an art event it is a moment of solidarity. A chance to connect with Israel’s cultural legacy and to take home a piece of its enduring spirit.

החטיפה אינה מסתיימת ברגע השיבה הבייתה,

היא נמשכת בלב, בגוף ובחברה, אצל השבים, אצל משפחותיהם ואצל כולנו. הטראומה, חוסר הוודאות וההתמודדות היומיומית לא מתפוגגים, אלא הופכים למסע ארוך של שיקום.

נפגעי החטיפה בישראל הם לא רק החטופים עצמם, אלא גם בני משפחותיהם והמענים הקרובים שסופגים את הטראומה, חוסר הוודאות וההתמודדות המתמשכת. החטיפה מוּרכָּבת מרובד נפשי, פיזי וחברתי עמוק, הֵן על השבים הֵן על יקיריהם, ומחייב שיקום ארוך טווח.

תמיכה נפשית, רפואית וכלכלית היא לא מותרות, היא תנאי הכרחי כדי לאפשר לשבים ולבני משפחותיהם לחזור באמת לחיים, ולא רק לבית.

קרן קמים פועלת להעניק סיוע ותשתית של תמיכה לשבים ולמשפחותיהם, מתוך הבנה שהחטיפה ממשיכה ללוות אותנו כחברה גם הרבה אחרי הרגע שבו הם חוזרים.
