Important Notice – Egypt Energy-Saving Measures

Kindly note that as of March 28, the Egyptian government is implementing temporary emergency energy-saving measures due to a significant increase in the cost of power resources, including electricity, gas, gasoline, and fuel.

Under a new directive announced by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, all restaurants, cafés, and shopping venues will be required to close at 9:00 PM, with an exception on Fridays when closing time will be at 10:00 PM.

These measures will come into effect on Saturday, March 28, and are expected to remain in place for a period of one month.

Please note:
All touristic hotels, tourist restaurants, and major tourist sites will continue to operate as usual and are not affected by these restrictions.

To assist tourists who wish to depart Israel, the Ministry of Tourism is operating a shuttle service from central pick-up points in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv to the Taba border crossing.
These shuttle services are scheduled for *Wednesday and Thursday, March 4–5, 2026.*

Para ayudar a los turistas que deseen salir de Israel, el Ministerio de Turismo está operando un servicio de transporte desde puntos centrales de recogida en Jerusalén y Tel Aviv hacia el cruce fronterizo de Taba.
Estos servicios de transporte están programados para el miércoles y jueves, 4 y 5 de marzo de 2026.
