Happy Women’s Day! 🌟

Meet Diane.
My new painting ( acrylic on 120 x 100 cm canvas).

A friend said that the wide skirt and belt reminded her of the iconic style of Diane Keaton - so this one is a small homage to a woman who has always worn freedom, strength, and individuality so beautifully.

The figures I paint are women captured in a quiet moment, yet they carry an inner power.
The halo behind them draws inspiration from the world of saints, but here it represents a secular kind of holiness - inner light, feminine strength, presence.

On this Women’s Day I wish for all of us
to keep creating, to keep shining,
and to be like the women I paint —
strong, full of light, and true to ourselves.

My new saint is a woman who has had enough.

She stands where patience ends and clarity begins. Whole. Unapologetic.
She chose dignity over likability,
integrity over obedience.

She knows what she will no longer tolerate,
and that knowledge is freedom.
