NGO Monitor’s research on Hamas’ internal documents reveals that Canadian-funded NGOs operating in Gaza were infiltrated by Hamas. Hamas “systematically diverts aid from international NGOs” and controls NGO operations.
Examples include the Canadian-funded NGO Ajyal. Hamas’ documents show that beneficiaries of an Ajyal project would be selected from names provided by the Hamas-controlled Ministry of Social Development.
