I pulled this quotation from the article featured in the previous post because it supports the multisensory teaching methods I use with students. By having students act out the meaning, write, and read, new vocabulary words, they retain these words more easily and begin to use them in their own communication.

Are you a parent who wants your daughter to make new friends and explore reading this summer? Or are you a girl who wants to do “something different” with her summer vacation? Share your favorite characters and novels with kindred spirits in a new book club for English-speaking girls ages 11-14. Every Monday and Wednesday, we will get together for:

📖Reading–From graphic novels of A Wrinkle in Time and Pride and Prejudice to haiku, we will explore stories with strong female characters and learn how reading can be empowering!
🎭Drama–We will act scenes and learn the basics of good storytelling.
✏️Creative Writing–We will delve into writing for self-expression and reflection.

Mondays & Wednesdays, July 1st - August 28th, 6:00-7:00.
Sessions are 50 nis each + price of reading materials.
