These houses were once part of the staff homes of Hadassah, the first hospital in Beersheba and the Negev. בשנות החמישים המקום היה חלק ממתחם מגורי הצוות של בית החולים הדסה לנגב, שהיה בית החולים הראשון של באר שבע. איל ואביגיל רכשו את המבנים והפכו אותם לבית הארחה הנבנה בעבודת כפיים ישראלית בדגש חזק על שימור ואסטתיקה. קירות הבית טווייחו בטייחי סיד מוחלקים לפי כללי השימור.
המבנים וקירות האבן שוחזרו בהשקעה רבה ותשומת לב לפרטים הקטנים.
המתארחים ירגישו את השראתה החזקה של העיר העתיקה בעברה ויכנסו לאווירה רגועה ונינוחה כמו כן ייהנו מעיצוב מסוגנן ואיכותי המאפשר נוחות מודרנית. זהו בית בלב העיר העתיקה המשמש כמקום מפלט מהעיר הסואנת.
