Connie took her first steps using a plastic doll’s leg. Her mum, Janneth, gently strapped it to her body so she could learn to balance and walk. Later, despite the cost, her parents went into debt to buy a prosthetic so she could keep moving forward.

With support from their local church community, Connie was able to receive the care and medical help her family could not afford alone. Today, her story is a reminder of what can grow when a child is surrounded with love, support and opportunity.

Every child deserves the chance to flourish.

Change can begin with a toothbrush. Small things can change everything.

For children at a Compassion project in Togo, a simple hygiene kit, soap, a sponge, a towel, a toothbrush, is something they’ve never had before.

Project Director Eyram puts it simply:
“For many children here, a toothbrush is a luxury. Some were washing with corn sacks. These kits don’t just protect their health, they tell a child: you matter.”

When you see a need like this, it’s hard not to feel it. And when we feel it, we can move.

Yesterday was , a reminder of how vital access to clean, physical water is.

It brings life, restores health, and opens doors to opportunity, yet many children around the world are still without it.

At the same time, we’re reminded of a deeper need we all share. Jesus offers living water that satisfies our spiritual thirst and brings hope beyond our circumstances:

“Whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst.” John 4:14

As we reflect on yesterday, we remember both the urgent need for clean water and the lasting hope found in him.
