Met Éireann has issued a new Status Yellow High Temperature Warning for Offaly, with temperatures expected to exceed 27°C and very warm nights forecast.The warning is valid from 1.00pm today Sunday 12/7/2026 12pm until 7.00am Tuesday 14/07/2026

☀️ Stay safe in the heat:
✅ Drink plenty of water
✅ Wear sunscreen, a hat and light clothing
✅ Check in on older relatives, neighbours and vulnerable people
✅ Never leave children or pets in parked vehicles
✅ Take extra care near lakes, rivers and other waterways

Potential impacts include heat stress, uncomfortable sleeping conditions and increased water safety risks.
