The MyMind team offer our sincere thanks to Aimee, who will be taking part in the Vhi Women's Mini Marathon on May 31 in support of our services!

Aimee has kindly shared her own mental health journey and the positive impact of MyMind's support during challenging times:

"MyMind gave me access to free and then subsidised psychotherapy at a time when I so desperately needed it. That support changed everything for me. It helped me heal in ways I didn’t think were possible. I truly believe everyone deserves access to that kind of support when they need it most."

Today is World Maternal Mental Health Day, drawing attention to the increased vulnerability to mental illness among women brought on by life changes during and following pregnancy.

From wmmhday.org:

As many as 1 in 5 women experience a perinatal mood and anxiety disorder (PMAD). Symptoms can appear any time during pregnancy and the first 12 months after childbirth. There are effective and well-researched treatment options available to help women recover.

World Maternal Mental Health Day seeks to drive social change with a goal toward improving the quality of care for women experiencing all types of PMADs, and reducing the stigma of maternal mental illness.
