🎤 29 Years Growing…

Last night, Mullingar Toastmasters celebrated 29 years at the Greville Arms Hotel.

That’s 29 years of speeches.
29 years of shaky hands becoming steady voices.
29 years of ordinary people doing brave things on a Thursday night.

And yes — there was cake. (Personal growth tastes better with icing.)

Julie Kiernan reminded us that “It’s Not Always About the Words” and showed that sometimes the strongest message never needs to shout.

Eilish Fox delivered “The Quiet Language – A Day in My Life” — a beautiful reminder that our body language speaks volumes before
we say a word

Philip Howlin brought mentoring magic to life in “The Sorcerer and the Apprentice” — proof that every great speaker once needed a guiding hand .

And Rosemarie Elliott seasoned the evening perfectly with “Salt.”
Because like salt, the right words — used well — change everything.

Our evaluators sharpened, supported and strengthened each speaker. At Toastmasters, feedback isn’t criticism — it’s polishing. We don’t tear down speeches. We build better ones.

Then came Table Topics — where courage meets the clock and thinking on your feet becomes the real sport.

Some people go to the gym.
We lift words.

For 29 years Mullingar Toastmasters has been a place where:

People find their voice.

Leaders are built, not born.

We meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month at 8pm in the Greville Arms Hotel.

And if you’ve ever thought:

“I must join something like that.”

“I need to get better at speaking.”

“I’d love more confidence.”

Then here’s your sign.

Join us on March 12th for our International Speech Contest.

This is where you’ll see courage under lights, storytelling at its best, and competition that’s supportive.

You don’t have to speak.
You just have to show up.

Come see what you might become.
