Moone Celtic let an early 3-0 lead slip at home to Coill Dubh and only drew 4-4. They are now relegated from the senior division. Their second team are 15 points off safety in Division 2 and it looks like it could be a season to forget for the south kildare club.

Poaching seems to be a huge issue in Kildare at the moment but an issue that nobody is allowed speak about for fear they will get their own club in trouble. It's absolutely rife at the moment and the parents are as much to blame as the clubs.
The underhanded way some clubs go about poaching these teenagers from clubs is disgraceful. Basically a club will ask a parent to speak to another parent to try encourage their kid to join the club. This way they are protected because the player was not approached directly by the club. There are clubs that have been around for donkeys years currently getting gutted by clubs who suddenly have a large pool of players and volunteers in areas getting built up. The sooner someone comes out and calls it as it is then the sooner there might be some sort of spotlight put on it. Its been poisonous for years in Dublin and now its in Kildare.
