The Kenmare Lace and Design Centre was founded in 1990 as a result of a community development initiative. Lace for sale is supplied by other local and Irish lacemakers. The craft is kept alive through demonstrations and classes. Nora teaches at GOIL(Guild Of Irish Lacemakers) workshops and elsewhere throughout the country.

A big shout out to the Tidy Towns and the Co.Council for the lovely walkway at The Pier. The seating every few mtrs it is a gift to the elderly and the infirm or to anybody who wants to relax and enjoy the sea view and the fresh air. If you have'nt visited it be sure to have a look the next fine day
