Keep it in Kells Competitions

Can any of the following hinterland.ie explain why since some years back, quite a few, there's nothing for kids, i.e., chalk; treasure hunts, balloon modelling, Gemini the Magician in Cathal McEntee's (2-3 times daily), etc, etc, etc... anyone local remember this and anyone above know why?
Also have the "representatives" applying for the grants for same 'festival' changed much over these past 25 or so years?
