Massive congratulations to our Hatch Labber Niall Jordan and the team at Activ.ie on some brilliant news this week

Activ.ie and the University of Limerick have secured funding for a fully supported 4-year PhD study into population-level diabetes management, and Activ.ie's real-world, real-time patient data will sit at the very heart of it.

As Niall puts it: "If we can predict, we can prevent."
The research will use Activ.ie's data-led diabetes management systems to develop new approaches to chronic disease management, with a dedicated PhD researcher, a robust publication plan, and co-authored outputs along the way.

That's a truly homegrown evidence base, reducing our reliance on research built elsewhere and shaping how Ireland manages chronic disease for years to come.

It is also a chance for local filmmakers and creative talent from across the South East to connect, share ideas, and hear the latest updates from Screen Wexford, including upcoming training opportunities and local initiatives.

Hatch Lab member QedON has been making headlines following the recent launch of their new eLearning platform, ExpertEd, right here at The Hatch Lab.

With ATHE endorsement, Enterprise Ireland backing, equity investment secured, and international expansion into South Africa already in motion, it's safe to say ExpertEd is only getting started.
