Promises to be a very relaxing day with a lovely lunch, a chance to meet services and other carers plus a one day free pass to use the tranquillity leisure suite in the Raheen Woods.

The Ballinasloe Men's Shed were recipients of a SICAP grant recently. The grant will assist in the building up of the sheds much needed resources. It was great to pop down this morning to visit the lads to a very welcoming environment, see all the work been carried out there and most importantly seeing everyone sitting around the table having a cuppa and the chats. It has been quoted and is very true, that the best tool in the shed is the kettle. Well done to Billy and all the team in the shed driving it forward. The shed also have a pop up shop set up to help raise funds for the running and continued upgrading of the shed, so make sure to call in and see all the bargains you can pick up whilst supporting the lads. We wish you all continued success and look forward to supporting the Ballinasloe Men's Shed in the future.

Thanks to all the team from Galway Traveller Movement for inviting us to their Ballinasloe community celebration of Traveller culture, identity, creativity, inclusion, and connection for Traveller Pride Week 2026. The theme for this year is “Looking Back, Moving Forward: Being an Individual While Celebrating Our Collective History”.
