Dublin Samaritans
A totally confidential conversation with someone you don't know can often feel easier than trying to talk to friends or family. That's why we're contacted over 5 million times every year throughout Ireland and the UK. People often call us because of:
* Relationship and family problems
* Loss, including loss of a job, a friend or a family member through bereavement
* Financial worries
* Job-relate
Samaritans Ireland released its latest Impact Report, today.
Across Ireland and Northern Ireland, more than 2,100 volunteers answered 460,000 calls last year, providing over 100,000 hours of emotional support to people who needed someone to listen.
Just to listen.
Callers shared concerns about mental health, loneliness and isolation, and family difficulties.
Behind every statistic is a person reaching out, often at a difficult moment.
Thank you to every volunteer who continues to be there, day and night, 365 days a year. π
If youβre struggling, please know you donβt have to face things alone.
