A huge thank you to Author Beck Wright for this wonderful review of The Sixth Amulet Audiobook ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ–ค

THE SIXTH AMULET by M.A. Maddock
Thank you, Miriam ๐Ÿ–ค

I listened to the Audiobook edition of The Sixth Amulet which was narrated by J Dallin Taylor.

Firstly, the narration is incredible. It's full and ambient, with a whole cast of accents and voices. So well done.

REVIEW ๐Ÿ“š

The book is truly epic in every sense of the word. It has an expansive story and is quite lengthy. Readers will need to pay close attention as the plot jumps across different timelines and locations. However, the payoff is well worth it. I must admit that the fantasy genre, particularly epic fantasy, is not my comfort zone, as I often get confused with the numerous character names. But its merits shine through when a book is skilfully written, planned, and thought out. The Sixth Amulet is an excellent example of such a book.

This is the first book in THE SIXTH AMULET series, and I'm eagerly looking forward to immersing myself in the rest. Fans of grand epic adventures similar to GoT and LotR will fall in love with this book and adore it.

Truth! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

. . .
Some thoughts for readers when debating whether to point out minor errors in books. ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ“š

Every author, from Stephen King to J. K. Rowling to a self-published author, will likely have typos in their books. As authors, weโ€™re not perfect, nor are our beta readers, editors, and proofreaders. Most of us know our mistakes. We work hard to polish our books to avoid those nasty typos, grammatical errors, and oversights, yet they still creep in. When we write, we are trying to convey important messages, and thatโ€™s a huge high-level task. After numerous rounds of proofing, our brains operate on instinct, and we miss details because we know where the story is going.

Writing and publishing a book is a long and tedious process that switches many hands. Once the work is out there, republishing is not only a huge hassle; itโ€™s costly, and most publishers wonโ€™t do it. Weโ€™re human. Editors and proofreaders are human. Mistakes happen. Readers, be kind. โค๏ธ If the errors are few and donโ€™t ruin the story, let it go. Enjoy the story and the many messages it has to offer. ๐Ÿ˜Š
