environment. During school term, we open Monday to Friday, from 7.30am to 8.30am (Breakfast Club) and from 1.40pm to 6.00pm daily. Opening hours are 7.30am to 6.00pm during Halloween, February Mid-term, Easter Holidays and Summer Holidays. All school going children up to and including 12 years of age are eligible to attend. We believe that the Backyard Kids Service is unique in many ways:
Children may attend Backyard Kids Afterschool on a contract basis only. There are two options - a 10 Month Contract and a 12 Month Contract.
The 10 month contract runs from September 1st to June 30th.
The 12 month contract is an all year round contract, with children continuing to attend throughout the summer.
Please note that we have a minimum daily attendance of two days per week per child.
We cater for the 5 yrs + age group only. This means no babies, no wobblers, no toddlers and most of all minimised reluctance on your child’s part to attend.
Our facility is large enough to ensure that your child will spend his/her day with their peers, enjoying daily revised programmes tailored specifically for the attending children. The children have a lot of space both indoors and outdoors at their disposal!!
Children will have access to 3 rooms – a quiet study/reading room, a fun and games room and a hang out/TV room.
Children will have the space outdoors to use go karts, scooters, rollerblades, etc.
We offer flexible availability.
A mini bus service is available to two schools in the area – Rush N.S and St. Catherines N.S. The cost of the mini bus is €10.00 per week. This price is the same whether your child attends 2 days or 5 days and it includes travelling both to and from school.
Children are escorted to school on the mini bus daily and delivered to their rooms by a member of staff.
Hot, nutritious, tasty meals are provided daily.
Supervised Homework offering one on one supervision to Junior Infants, Senior Infants and 1st Class and general homework assistance to all others.
Daily activities include Arts & Crafts, Multi-Sport, Science, Baking, Dance, Movies, Bingo, Quizzes, Football, Basketball, Gardening, Tending to the Hens, and much more.
Children will have the freedom that they would have at home – making their own breakfast if they wish, choosing what they would like to do or play with after homework is completed, etc.
