An evening with Alan Betson – Photographer of the Year 2024.

We are delighted to announce that we are holding an open Photography night with Alan Betson on Tuesday 12th November 2024 at 8pm at St Brigid’s Hall, Blanchardstown.
Alan Betson was voted AIB Photographer of the Year 2024. He won praise for his ability to find the unusual in everyday life and outstanding news photography, with the judges commenting: “The overall Photographer of the Year Award goes to a photographer who showed huge versatility. Their portfolio showcased outstanding news photography as well as a strong eye for quirky daily life images. The judges were unanimous in their selection”. He won three categories – News, Politics, and Arts & Entertainment – as well as the overall prize.
Alan will be guest speaker talking about his Photography career, working with media and press from his experience in The Irish Times.
