This is a song I wrote about a homeless man who begged outside the AIB (bank) on Baggot St and one day I showed up and there was just a picture of him on the wall and a couple of bouquets of flowers. He was so charming. His line was ‘spare a dime bud’. That’s the chorus. He’s call you ‘Big Man’ no matter how big or little you were and call the ladies ‘Sweetheart’ or ‘Gorgeous’. He know how to make you feel good.
Great to have Joe Doyle from the in to play double bass on it today today. This isn’t a mix but I’m tres excited about this song. Feels really special. X
