Current activities include the development of functional coatings for ceramics, development of nanoparticles for environmental, energy and electronic applications, development of self-cleaning probes for biofilm sensors, photocatalytic solar disinfection and the development of anti-bacterial functional coatings.

Last night Killian Barton (BSc with Nanotechnology (2012)) was awarded the Intel Award for achieving the highest overall score in the DIT Physics program in 2012.

CREST Researchers win DIT Inventors Competition

The CREST team of Craig Hicks, GrĂ¡inne Hargaden, John Colreavy and Brendan Duffy were this years winners of the DIT Inventors Competition.
