We close Trinity Week 2014 on a high note with this Choral+ concert and wine reception.
Choral+ is a small vocal ensemble consisting of students, staff and graduate members of the University of Dublin Choral Society. Informal in nature and with a wide repertoire, the group has performed at receptions and events both on and off campus. This evening they will present at a short concert featuring works by composers such as Mozart, Bach and Sullivan.

‘Let us smile each chance we get: Neuroscience based nudges toward happiness and health’
It feels good to be happy. Emerging research is making a compelling case that feeling happy is also good for you. Where past studies focused on negative emotions such as anger and stress on health, new research is highlighting how happiness and a subjective sense of well-being can play a key protective role in physical health with effects on resistance to infection, cardiovascular health and longevity. Both happiness and health can be increased by happiness promoting interventions.
Professor Nancy Etcoff, Assistant Professor of Psychology, Department of Psychiatry, Massachusetts General Hospital.
Thanks to everyone who came to last night's keynote address. The crowd of 300 enjoyed a wonderful lecture by Nancy Etcoff in the TBSI building on Pearse Street. Trinity Week 2014 has some more events today, everyone is welcome so please join us and share our beautiful campus during today's Bird Walk (10am at the Campanile) and the Tree Walk (1pm in Front Square). Trinity Week concludes with a Choral+ performance & wine reception in the Long Room Hub (5-6.30).
