SDGI has partnered with Publishing Ireland again to create a presentation of Irish books with available screen rights exclusive to SDGI directors.

Books are everywhere. As a director you have examined many books for optioning for film and episodics but how can you filter through the mountains of new books published each year to find the best new stories in fiction and nonfiction?

We invite you to join us for an afternoon as Ireland’s major publishers will present their top available books everything from contemporary mysteries to period sagas, biographies, and true histories, for a diverse range of audiences. As well as those presenting, a range of Irish book publishers will be present to discuss the books they feel you would be interested in.

Directors will come away with an understanding of the range of stories being told in Ireland today and an analysis of the key trends of Irish readers today and into the future and maybe even an option deal signed for their next project!

Continue the conversation with publishers directly at the drinks Reception hosted by SDGI afterward.

Date: Friday 8th November 2024

Time: 4.30pm - 5.30pm Drinks Reception 5.30 onwards

Venue: Printworks in Dublin Castle ( if you go in the entrance of Dame Street near Chez Max the printworks is on the left-hand side)

RSVP: [email protected]

As we feel this is of interest to the wider industry, non members, writers, producers and filmmakers welcome.
