We were honoured to welcome Minister for Transport Darragh O'Brien TD to officially turn the sod on the €250m Kilshane Energy Power Plant project in north Dublin with Fingal County Council Mayor Tom O'Leary, Kilshane Energy Founder Michael Loughran, Project Lead Brian McMullan and CWPA MD Planning Joe Corr.

This marks an exciting milestone in the transition to a more secure and resilient energy future for Ireland. CWPA has been proud to support the project from its earliest planning stages through to construction commencement, playing a key role in shaping this innovative energy infrastructure.

The new facility will have an output of up to 293 megawatts — enough to power approximately 300,000 homes. It represents a key element of Ireland’s strategy to strengthen energy security and provide flexible backup generation to support renewable energy sources.
