Rick's Rambles Podcast
As you might know, I'm a pretty frugal guy. I'd love to have one of those bird feeders with a built-in camera, but I just can't justify the cost right now.
Recently, a dear friend sent me a very inexpensive action camera that cost less than $20. That got me wondering: Could a cheap action cam capture decent backyard bird footage?
So I set the camera on a tripod, aimed it at my bird feeder, and let it run. Honestly, I was surprised by the results!
In this video, you'll see House Sparrows, a female Northern Cardinal, and a White-breasted Nuthatch stopping by for a snack. As an added bonus, very early in the video, you'll see a bird fly directly into the camera!
