Last month, UCD Digital Library were delighted to present a significant collection of photographs from the albums of G. & T. Crampton Ltd., one of Dublin's best-known construction companies. The collection contains 667 photographs, taken between 1892 and 1988, which represent a visual record of the building projects the firm undertook.

Loreto 1916 24/11/2016

We are delighted to announce the availability of a new collection, Loreto 1916 (http://digital.ucd.ie/view/ucdlib:45795), in UCD Digital Library, with a complementary Google Arts and Culture exhibit, both based on items selected from the IBVM (Loreto) Irish Province Archives.

The material showcases the experiences of the Loreto Sisters and pupils during Easter Rising 1916. Excerpts from the digitised Loreto Convent Annals and other records offer unique eye witness accounts of the Rising in St Stephen’s Green, and detailed personal accounts of the experiences of the Rising in Rathfarnham.
