Free time is important for resting and recovering and thus for . However, it seems that more is not always better. A series of studies by researchers from UPenn and UCLA found that too little free time leads to , as one would expect. However, too much free time can be detrimental for wellbeing as well because people feel less productive. Thus, the recommendation is to have moderate amounts of free time, and fill large amounts of free time, for example when unemployed, with purpose.
