Most tallow brands don’t render their own tallow.

They buy it in bulk from a commercial supplier. That supplier melts down a mix of trimmings, glands, and leftover cuts from who knows where. Then they bleach it for colour and deodorise it with chemicals for smell.

Then it goes into your face cream.

Nobody talks about this because nobody wants you asking the question.

Tallow is a wide term. It can mean pure suet from a grass-fed Irish cow, trimmed by hand, rendered slowly at low heat with nothing added. Or it can mean the cheapest possible fat processed at industrial scale.

Both are technically tallow. What goes in comes out.

We render everything in-house. Fresh Irish suet, sourced weekly from local farms. Trimmed by our own butchers. Rendered slowly. No bleaching. No deodorising. No chemicals. Every single jar.

We have done it this way from day one because there is no other way to do it properly.
