πŸŽ‰ Happy Birthday to our extraordinary Founder and Voluntary CEO, Adi Roche! πŸŽ‰

Today, we celebrate a woman whose life has been dedicated to making the world a kinder, fairer and more compassionate place.

For more than 50 years, Adi has been a fearless advocate for the environment, peace and social justice, standing up for those whose voices too often go unheard.

Her unwavering belief that ordinary people can achieve extraordinary change has inspired generations of humanitarians and brought immeasurable relief to Chornobyl's victims and survivors.

Through the founding of Chornobyl Children International, Adi transformed compassion into action, ensuring that tens of thousands of children and families affected by the Chornobyl nuclear disaster receive life-saving medical care, humanitarian support and hope for the future. Her work has brought international attention to the long-term human consequences of nuclear disaster and has helped shape a legacy of solidarity that continues today.

Happy Birthday, Adi!

🌟 Learning in Action! 🌟

On a recent Educational Day Trip, participants on our Life Skills Programme and Restoration of Rights Programme took an outing to the city of Babruysk to explore new opportunities and gain valuable experience outside of the confines of life in an institution.
During the visit, the group met with employees at a local manufacturing facility, some of whom also have disabilities, leaning about their work even enjoyed some hands-on experience assembling mechanisms and doing some wiring!

This eye-opening trip helped our residents see what is possible in life, highlighting their own talents and the many opportunities that exist beyond institutionalised life. It also marked a meaningful chance for them to see that persons with disabilities play a very important and valued role in communities.

Well done to all involved and thank you to all who made this possible.
