Welcoming Orla & Amand to the Wild Design family, pictured here bringing their beautiful brand Farraige into us for the adventure of retail. They live in Ballineen, a village in County Cork with their dog Betsy and are creating Seaweed pressings and Seaweed prints.

Orla is a horticulturist and has always been drawn to art and interior decoration. Armand grew up in the middle of France hundreds of miles from the sea however he has a strong connection to it and enjoys every single minute of being close to the sea since living in Cork.

Seaweed pressing started as a way of preserving seaweeds during the Victorian era. Very quickly amateur scientists of the time were foraging seaweed and it eventually became an artform in itself. Although forgotten for years, it is now seeing a revival.

Inspired by this revival, Armand and Orla started their very first pressing in February 2022 and it’s has grown & developed to a stunning selection of artwork for sea & nature lovers to enjoy. ❤️
