Introduction

Our team of highly skilled staff, hands-on management style and best of breed technologies allow companies interact with their customers when and where their customers need them, whether it’s over the phone, by VoIP, email or on the web, delivered as a tailored solution for each clients’ specific business needs.
What is the role?
The role of the Financial Controller is to Report, Manage, Develop and Improve the Company performance through strong Financial and Management controls and practices.
Responsibilities
The Financial Controller is responsible for;
· Commentator – Reporting and explaining Management report and variance analysis
· Business Partner – Value creation, advisor , robust challenger to decision making, Risk Management
· Scorekeeper – Book keeping, Transaction process, Reconciliations, trial Balance production, Budgeting
· Custodian – Focus on governance, compliance, minder of assets, conscience of business
· Compliance to ISO 27001 Standard or equivalent
Skills required;
· Analysis, interpretation and implementation of accounting practices / procedures
· Excellent Communicator, Strategy thinker and builder
· Team Player, Approachable, Innovative
· Leadership skills within the leadership team
· Reliable for on-time delivery
· Proficient in the use of packages such as Sage, Excel etc.
Experience
· At least 3 years’ experience leading a Finance team at management level.
Training
· The person holding this role will be expected to possess all of the technical knowledge for this role, but further training will be provided in the company specific processes and procedures.
Education and Qualifications
Ideally Fully Qualified Accountant or Third Level Business qualification or at least Final stage of relevant Accounting Body ACCA, ACA, CIMA.
The successful candidate would be required to work from our Cork City office from time to time as required but can also partly work from home.
