Murders, mass arrests, and wide-spread destruction signaled that the Jewish population was no longer safe. Kristallnacht (Night of Broken Glass) marked a turning point in the N**i regime’s persecution of Jews. The state-sponsored violence was a prelude to the Holocaust.
