The EcoShack

It is with a very heavy and tired heart that we announce we are closing our doors Saturday the 22nd of June. The weekend before our shops 3rd birthday. This was not an easy or quick decision. Unfortunately it is a footfall issue as with many small shops in Cavan.

It's hard not to get teary eyed looking at images of us starting our little business in 2020 and opening our shop in 2021. We tried our best and had great fun doing it.

We want to thank so many people.
* Our incredible INCREDIBLE loyal customers. You know who you are and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
* Holly our incredible volunteer that has been with us since the start. The shop would have fallen apart without you. Thank you # # #
* Our parents for the sincere belief we can achieve anything we put our minds to and helping us randomly at the drop of a hat.
* The wonderful passionate educators that joined us along the way.
* All of the nationwide media that reached out to us in celebration of all we have achieved.
* The Pantri Box for inspiring us to take this leap in the first place.
* Liam and Barry our other halves who supported us through the hard times and difficult decisions and helped us build the shop, pack our corporate hampers and much more.
*Many more that we have temporarily forgotten in the haze of sadness.

Although our presence on Main street Cavan is short-lived we do believe we made a difference to the town. We hope the education we provided and the changes we helped people make will ripple out to their friends and family.

BUT !!
We will still supply bulk orders of liquid drums ordered in advance eg 20L detergent. You will also still be able to order corporate hampers from us this year and we will be at too. Blaithin will also continue online and with popups !

NEW WORKSHOP ALERT 🚨
Water bath and pressure canning.

"The Irish Mammy" aka Cathriona McKiernan is a self trained chef and former restaurant owner. She has a passion for growing vegetables and this has been the catalyst for learning old fashioned preserving skills and making them work using modern technology! Water bath and pressure canning are two of the preserving methods that she will talk through and answer questions on. She will list equipment required and provide information on further resources and suppliers, as well as the suitability of each method for different applications. She will also talk through safety precautions which are probably what put most people off canning. She will show you how easy it is when you get the hang of it.

March 20th/ 7:30pm - 8:30pm.

Our Janni snowflake soaps are back and as popular as ever, we’ve gotten so many compliments on how the shop smells with these out❤️

Restock and new bits!!

We’ve restocked our whole Janni range, including our beloved freya shampoo bars so if you’ve been waiting, message to keep one aside😊
In this range we’ve also gotten in the new ‘Aine’ toning bars to trial and a delicate ‘satin’ face wash with goats milk and sandalwood😍
Our snowflake soaps are already flying off the shelves, we’ve gotten so many compliments on how lovely the shop smells with them out❤️
Our new laundry detergent and washing up liquid are a hit, paraben free, sulphate free, vegan and cruelty free with delicious scents!
Our new dishwasher powder has been highly requested and is from the same brand with the same benefits!
We’ve also gotten in new biodegradable scrub pads that are naturally antibacterial and non-scratch
Lastly our familiar favorites are back in- chocolate honeycomb, hazelnuts and our latest addition almonds. Our new granola is absolutely delicious and grain free!

After numerous requests we have the wonderful new Aine shampoo and conditioner for toning beautiful blonde hair. Limited stock while we test it out so come and get yours todaaaaay! If you are coming later in the week but want a certain product and want to reserve it just shoot me a DM on here !
