Some of the housing estates around the area have religious shrines / grottos that were built and are and maintained by the residents. It is a lovely piece of local history and culture and displays a wonderful sense of community and belonging. Over the next few days I will bring you a selection of them.

First up on the list is Castle Park. I am not sure when it was installed or any story behind it. It would be great if some of the locals would add information or details in the comments. A lovely simple design that hopefully will ignite some good memories for people.
