Hello to our Irish ECCE Education colleagues. Our work in ULS (the Irish Partners) on the EYDP [Early Years Digital Portfolio project] is now in it's final stages. We thank all who have supported us in the various steps: such as the initial research survey; those who joined in our study trip to Iasi; Early Childhood Ireland in spreading the information in their blog; our expert associates around the country and of course our European partners.
We are delighted to share two of the resources developed to date: our Handbook on Pedagogical Documentation in Early Childhood in the four partner countries

These are valuable resources for all EY educators, for CPD, for college courses.
Our next and final step is the development of the new Digital Resource, this will offer users an interactive simple platform to document children's learning, affording the educator and the child's family a way to reflect and develop the most effective means to support the child.
We invite educators to participate. This month 1] we need volunteers to review the Online Training Programme [we have evaluation templates to help with this] and 2] we also need to develop five case studies as models to illustrate the use of the new Digital Platform [full guidance available, and meeting planned for this].

Wonderful to meet and work with members of the Board of the Galway City Partnership today in Galway and their CEO Linda Sice Brogan. Excellent focus on strategic planning and vision as GCP and ULS agree to sign a Memorandum of Understanding.

ULS participating in the final meeting of the FLEDS (financial literacy for the economic development of society) project, focusing on this for middle school children. ULS is the Irish partner.
