Students learned batik the hands-on way at the Museum Batik Yogyakarta. After exploring the history and meanings behind different motifs, they tried using the canting to apply hot wax themselves (harder than it looks!).
A fun, focused afternoon — and a new appreciation for the craftsmanship behind every piece of batik.
