In Indonesia this year, two sacred moments arrive almost side by side.
On 19 March, Bali observes Nyepi — a day when the entire island pauses.
No flights, no traffic, no lights. Just stillness, reflection, and the sound of nature.

Just two days later, on 21 March, Muslims across the country celebrate Eid al-Fitr.

The evening of takbiran — when prayers and chants welcome the arrival of Eid — still takes place with adjustments, respecting the spirit of Nyepi while allowing the celebration to continue.
