What summer sounds like Just a few more months and this is what it will sound like when I go out to do wildlife photography. I do like the winter, but spring and summer are still better, and these sounds are a big reason why. The last clip is one of my favourites of all time, it might not look and sound as cool as some of the others but it is very rare to capture a long-eared owl like this. He was defending his chicks from another long-eared owl who had entered the first one’s territory. I bought my external microphone about 2 years ago to record bird sounds and it’s easily one of my better decisions. It added a whole new aspect to my photography and it’s such a rewarding feeling when I successfully capture both video and audio of things like these.
