Maimun Palace was built in the reign of Sultan Ma’mun Al Rashid Perkasa Alamsyah, the ruler of the Sultanate of Deli from 1873 until 1924, which is the Sultan of Deli IX. Palace Construction began on August 26, 1888, and inaugurated on May 18, 1891.
