BRIN Goes to Industry is a strategic program initiated by the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) to accelerate research downstreaming, connect researchers with industry players, and strengthen the competitiveness and independence of Indonesia’s national industries.

On May 19, 2026, BRIN successfully held the fourth edition of BRIN Goes to Industry, bringing together researchers and practitioners to explore the critical role of research in driving industrial development across various sectors.

One of the featured speakers, , an Indonesian film producer and founder of TEMATA Production House, shared insights on how research has shaped the evolution of the audiovisual industry. From understanding audience behavior and market dynamics to developing impactful stories and creative strategies, research serves as a crucial foundation for informed decision-making and sustainable growth.

The discussion highlighted an important principle: meaningful innovation begins with research that is accurate, transparent, and honest. In the creative industry, strong research not only helps creators better understand society and their audiences, but also enables the production of relevant, impactful, and authentic works.
