An introduction to tap technique drawing on a variety of dance styles & influences. Classes focus on footwork drills and developing students’ technical range, and expression through short choreographies. The classes experiment with using an eclectic range of music (such as: electronic, funk, doo-wop & jazz) in order to develop students’ sense of syncopation and musicality. These classes focus on developing footwork technique, as well as introducing students to flamenco rhythms, arm & body work and basic marcajes & palmas.
