Dora Eiler

“Urban Fossil” is a handmade ceramic and industrial metal cylinder, born out of the encounter between nature and the built environment. The two forms can be used separately as a vase or sculpture, but when combined they form a unity. The project is a collaboration between a design artist, and a ceramic artist, .doraeiler .

The MOD console table draws inspiration from a beloved childhood game, aiming to evoke the playful exploration and creativity we experienced while building with our favourite blocks. Beyond its functionality, this table strives to capture that nostalgic joy, infusing any space with a touch of carefree fun.

Crafted from modular elements, the design mirrors the simplicity and delight of playing with building blocks. This approach not only creates a liberated aesthetic but also results in a customizable and dynamic piece of furniture. The ceramic materials provide a sleek, modern finish while adding warmth and joy.

It invites you to rediscover the joy of creativity and exploration, harking back to the carefree days of childhood. It is more than just a piece of furniture; it is a symbol of imagination and timeless fun.

I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to showcase one of my works at this year’s ! It was a privilege to be selected among such talented designers and creatives, and I am incredibly grateful for this recognition.
