Arteriograph
As a result of our research and development projects, our patented and marketed technology Arteriograph is now considered to be the GOLD STANDARD of the oscillometric arterial stiffness measurement methods. This is the one and only existing technology that involves a decade of knowledge and clinical experience enabling the management of cardiovascular screening on large population within the primary care settings.

Ámir Váfaéi will have a short talk about how companies and healthcare professionals can work better together. He will share ideas from one of industry representatives in Cluj, Romania.
What is Pulse Wave Velocity Normal Range?
awareness of the normal range for PWV could assist physicians in initiating early interventions for lowering levels of arterial stiffness. PWV values depend on both the method used and the device.
In 2007, the ESH/ESC hypertension guidelines established a threshold of 12 m/s for carotid-femoral pulse wave velocity. However, this threshold was subsequently revised to 10 m/s in 2013.

The successor of normal blood pressure measurement devices!
Arterial stiffness has been established as an effective predictor of cardiovascular events and mortality, independently of traditional risk factors. Knowledge of the values related to the arterial stiffness parameters provides a possibility for early diagnosis of the above phenomena, enabling a proper course of action in treating patients even in the asymptomatic stage of their cardiovascular disease. A gradual increase can be observed in the significance of the non-invasive methods for arterial stiffness assessment, such as pulse wave velocity (PWV) measurement, regarding the screening of the patients. The PWV parameter represents the propagation velocity of pressure waves which can be analysed nearly anywhere in the vascular system. However, the aortic pulse wave velocity (PWVao) is considered to possess the highest clinical relevance.
The Arteriograph device providing – among others – the value of the PWVao parameter, functions with an improved efficiency in comparison with common blood pressure measurement devices in predicting several cardiovascular diseases. The device is a substantial replacement of the normal NIBP devices due to its technical edge above them.

Expanding upon Normal Blood Pressure Measurements - Innovative Method

Arteriograph improves arterial stiffness assessments!
Discover this innovative method by TensioMed:
Cardiovascular diseases create a significant burden on the health care system worldwide. The major cause of the cardiovascular diseases is atherosclerosis and vascular calcification.
During these processes the arteries are stiffened and loses their elasticity.
PWA (Pulse Wave Analysis) and PWVao (Aortic Pulse Wave Velocity) measurements are fundamental tests to reveal arterial stiffening due to asymptomatic atherosclerosis and vascular calcification. The arterial stiffness parameters have proven prognostic value regarding cardiovascular events (stroke, myocardial infarction), and this relationship is independent from the traditional risk factors (age, smoking habit, systolic blood pressure, gender, and cholesterol).
Arteriograph is the first, original, patented non-invasive method and device, which measures aortic pulse wave velocity (PWVao), aortic augmentation (AIXao) and central (aortic) blood pressure (SBPao) with a single upper arm cuff.

TensioDay Plus and its the main advantages
TensioDay Plus is a non-invasive, portable 24h monitoring device, providing brachial and central (aortic) systolic blood pressure values throughout the day.
The central BP is more informative than the brachial BP in the management of hypertension, because the applied drugs are acting differently on the peripheral and central BP.
