Delightad
From concept to pallet with zero drama. I'm the founder of Delightad, and I specialize in designing brand identities and packaging that are guaranteed to work in the real world. For over 18 years, I've worked deep within the world of print production, managing everything from B2 sheetfed offset runs to complex finishing lines like laminating, foiling, and die-cutting. Sustainable Packaging - Myths vs Reality
We all want the leaf icon, but real sustainability starts earlier.
The most eco pack is often the one you do not scrap.
Design for distance so you do not over-ink to "fix" readability later.
Pick materials for the job - uncoated looks warm but may scuff, films shine in wet or cold.
If you print on clear or metallic, add a white underprint where you want true color.
Standardise dielines and sizes to improve yield.
For safe, small changes, over-label and save good stock.
Reprint when structure or compliance changes. Clean 3-page PDFs mean fewer on-press surprises.
Spend less, waste less, look better on shelf. Small, repeatable choices beat one big "green" leap. 🌿

Barcodes That Always Scan
If a barcode fails, nothing else matters. Here is the calm way to make them scan first time - without wrecking your layout. 🧾
Give the code a quiet, matte home. Keep bars 100% black on a light solid and leave real quiet zones left and right. Do not miniaturize - pick an honest magnification and add a small bar width reduction if your press gains ink.
Kill glare - a gloss flood can blind scanners. Use a matte panel or a matte "window" inside the gloss. On bottles and tubes, avoid tight curves and seams; picket fence orientation usually wins.
Films and metallics? Add WHITE_UNDERPRINT under the barcode panel for paper-like contrast. Proof at actual size under store LEDs and scan from three angles. Small, repeatable rules - big relief at checkout.✅

Range Expansion Without Losing Recognition
Growing your range should not reset your brand. When new sizes arrive, recognition often drops and costs creep. Here is the calm way to expand without chaos. 🧭
Freeze the anchors - brand mark position, product type size, and a simple color band that ties SKUs together. Use a proportional grid so small, medium, and large feel related. Keep variant colors inside a controlled palette, not new shades for every size.
Plan dieline families - same tuck orientation, same glue flap, same barcode zone. On films and pouches, plan WHITE_UNDERPRINT where you want real color and leave windows at 0% white. Proof at distance, then in hand.
Keep promos in a safe lane. Short, time bound badges that never collide with the three second read. Result - faster launches, fewer redraws, and a family that reads together on shelf. ✨
