Kellin McGowan made history as the first Black valedictorian of St. Thomas High School in Houston, a landmark moment in the institution's 119-year history. He then went on to attend the University of Chicago, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics and Spanish Language & Literature (2019-2023).

He built a diverse professional foundation before graduation through internships in policy research and refugee advocacy, as well as a prestigious leadership scholarship in Washington, D.C.

Following his graduation, McGowan launched his finance career at Citi in Chicago. He started as a Private Banking Analyst for nearly two years before being promoted to Investment Associate recently, a position he currently holds. News source: Africa Giant
